The top of Long's ledge was 13 feet deep and the bottom was 24. In the morning the fish would chase bait and in the afternoon they would suspend on the sides.

Fritts dipped the Brush Hog in chartreuse so it mimicked a bluegill. But his main bait was the DT20, which did not make contact with the bottom, yet still proved effective.
