National Guard FLW College Fishing is the country’s largest tournament-fishing competition for college bass clubs, where college clubs compete for lucrative scholarships and prizes plus a chance to compete against the luminaries of the sport in the Forrest Wood Cup.
How much can I win?: Two-student team – up to $10,000 in qualifiers, up to $50,000 in regionals and up to $100,000 in the championship including boat packages for the winning clubs at regionals and the championship (with a 2-to-1 split between the college bass club and the university), as well as contingency awards. How much does it cost?: The tournaments are free to enter, boats and drivers are provided, and all collegiate teams receive a travel allowance.
How many events?: Four qualifying events per division – five divisions – plus five regional championships, a national championship and a chance to advance to the no-entry-fee Forrest Wood Cup.
