    Boater Tim Smiley of White Pine, Tenn., caught a 10-bass total weighing 24 pounds, 11 ounces Oct. 2-3 to win $4,604 plus a $1,000 Evinrude bonus in the BFL Volunteer Division Super Tournament on Fort Loudoun-Tellico lakes.

    Rounding out the top 10 boaters:

    3rd: Joe Lee, Knoxville, Tenn., nine bass, 17-0, $1,536

    4th: Robert Roche, Knoxville, Tenn., seven bass, 16-3, $1,074

    5th: H.C. Sumpter, Nancy, Ky., seven bass, 15-9, $921

    6th: Ott DeFoe, Knoxville, Tenn., six bass, 15-1, $844

    7th: Bryant Ailor, Knoxville, Tenn., four bass, 12-7, $767

    8th: Kevin Edwards, Knoxville, Tenn., five bass, 12-0, $691

    Brandon Harmon of Knoxville, Tenn., caught a four-bass total weighing 10 pounds, 5 ounces Oct. 2-3 to win $2,302 in the Co-angler Division.

    Coming up

    The next BFL Volunteer Division tournament, the Regional Championship, is scheduled for Oct. 14-16 on Lake Guntersville in Scottsboro, Ala. The top 40 boaters and 40 co-anglers from the LBL, Music City, South Carolina and Volunteer divisions have qualified for the Regional Championship, where the top six boaters and top six co-anglers will advance to the BFL All-American.
