Boater Michael Williamson of Fort Smith, Ark., caught a five-bass limit weighing 13 pounds, 5 ounces Saturday to win $3,917 plus a $2,000 Ranger bonus in the BFL Arkie Division tournament on Greers Ferry. He was using a Humdinger on a Carolina rig near Devil’s Fork and Little River to bag his limit.

Gross winning co-angler
Michael Gross of Gurdon, Ark., caught a five-bass limit weighing 9 pounds, 1 ounce to win $1,958 in the Co-angler Division on Greers Ferry. Using a green lizard on a Carolina rig under cloudy skies, he won the event by nearly a pound over second-place finisher Dylan Hays of Greenbrier, Ark., who caught five bass that weighed 8-3 worth $979.

The next BFL Arkie Division tournament is scheduled for June 19 at Lake Dardanelle in Russellville, Ark. After the fifth Arkie Division tournament is complete, the top 40 boaters and 40 co-anglers based on point standings will qualify for the Oct. 14-16 Regional Championship at Lake Texoma in Denison, Texas, where boaters will compete for a top award of a Ranger 198VX boat with a 200-horsepower Evinrude or Yamaha outboard and a Chevy pick-up, while co-anglers will fish for a new Ranger 198VX.
