    Salotti nets BFL win on Lake Cayuga

    Boater Bob Salotti of Geneva, N.Y., caught a five-bass limit weighing 19 pounds, 10 ounces Saturday to win $3,386 plus a $2,000 Ranger Cup bonus in the BFL Northeast Division tournament on Lake Cayuga.

    Boater Bob Salotti of Geneva, N.Y., caught a five-bass limit weighing 19 pounds, 10 ounces Saturday to win $3,386 plus a $2,000 Ranger Cup bonus in the BFL Northeast Division tournament on Lake Cayuga. Under mostly cloudy skies, Salotti threw tubes in the weeds of the midlake area to sack his limit.

    Robert Parmer Jr. of Linden, Pa., won $1,693 in the Co-angler Division on Lake Cayuga.

    Robert Parmer Jr. of Linden, Pa., caught a five-bass limit weighing 16 pounds to win $1,693 in the Co-angler Division on Lake Cayuga. He used Pop-R Rebels midlake to catch his limit.

    Coming up

    The next BFL Northeast Division tournament is scheduled for Aug. 21 at Oneida Lake in Brewerton, N.Y. After the fifth Northeast Division tournament is complete, the top 40 boaters and 40 co-anglers based on point standings will qualify for the Oct. 7-9 Regional Championship at the Potomac River in Marbury, Md., where boaters will compete for a top prize of a Ranger 198VX with a 200-horsepower Evinrude or Yamaha outboard and a Chevy pick-up, while co-anglers will fish for a new Ranger 198VX.
