Boater L.J. McCollough of Valley, Ala., caught three bass weighing 13 pounds, 10 ounces Sunday to win $3,718 in his first FLW appearance at the BFL Bama Division tournament on Lake Martin.
Larry Barron, Dadeville, Ala., weighed three bass for 11-1 to take second place and $1,859 in the Boater Division; in third was Tim Williams, Opelika, Ala., five bass, 10-11, $1,238; fourth place belonged to Buddy Whitley, Lagrange, Ga., five bass, 10-7, $867; and Chris Cooper, Spruce Pine, Ala., placed fifth with five bass, 9-15, $744.
Rounding out the top 10 boaters in the BFL Bama event on Lake Martin:

The next BFL Bama Division tournament is scheduled for March 27 at Weiss Lake in Leesburg, Ala. The top 40 anglers and 40 co-anglers from each of the five division tournaments will qualify for the Oct. 21-23 Regional Championship on Lake Seminole in Bainbridge, Ga., where boaters will fish for a new Ranger 198VX powered by a 200-horsepower Evinrude or Yamaha outboard plus a Chevy pickup and co-anglers will fish for a new Ranger 198VX.
