The National Guard FLW College Fishing circuit will stage its first Northern Division event of the season June 27 on the Potomac River in Marbury, Md.
The takeoff and weigh-in, scheduled for 7 a.m. and 2 p.m. EDT, respectively, will take place Saturday, June 27, at Smallwood State Park, located at 2750 Sweden Point Road in Marbury. The takeoff and weigh-in are free to attend and open to the public.
National Guard FLW College Fishing is the country’s largest tournament fishing competition for college bass clubs where college clubs compete for lucrative scholarships and prizes and a chance to compete in the 2010 Forrest Wood Cup in 2010.
Registered teams include Chestnut Hill College, Christopher Newport, Concord University, Cornell University, East Carolina University, Fairmont State University, Geneseo, Glenville State College, JCHS, Longwood University, Lynchburg College, Mansfield University, Messiah College, NC State University, Penn State, Plattsburgh State, Radford University, Rensselaer, RIT, Shepherd University, Slippery Rock University, UNC-Chapel Hill, UNC-Charlotte, Vermont Technical College, Virginia Commonwealth, Virginia Tech, VMI, Wake Forest University, West Point, West Virginia University.
