Tanner has been fishing for a living since 1995 and began his career with FLW in 1999. In addition to his Tour experience, Tanner has also completed in the EverStart and BFL tournaments.
Tanner and his wife Robin are married with three children. They enjoy spending time together doing anything outdoors. He loves spending time bow hunting in the off season. Tanner and his wife work at Lake Fork Baptist Church as Assistant Jr. High and High School youth directors. He is also a long time fishing guide on Lake Fork in Texas.
