Described as a veteran of the FLW Tour, Blaukat gained fame when he finished second at the 2002 Ranger M1 – Millenium on the Mobile-Tensaw Delta. Blaukat has found most of his success on the Tour where he has placed numerous top-10s and qualified for the Forrest Wood Cup several times. Blaukat is still looking for the elusive first Tour win – he’s placed second twice. He’s considered one of the best anglers on Tour without a Tour victory.
Blaukat claims Robert F. Kennedy Jr. as his hero and is often regarded as an expert on environmental issues. He enjoys listening to 40s-era big band and swing music with his wife Nancy and enjoys landscaping and just “being in nature”. Blaukat is also a former tournament karate competitor and still enjoys fitness and working out.
