Kennedy has been fishing the FLW Tour off and on since 2002, but fished in the BFL events before this, beginning in 1995. Kennedy has won several tournaments in FLW career, his first of which came in 1997, at a BFL event on Lake Martin.
When not fishing, Kennedy enjoys spending time with his wife, going golfing and saltwater fishing. He also likes to make his own custom fishing lures.
