Considered one of the veterans of the FLW Tour, Vatalaro began fishing the Bass Fishing League tournaments in 1995. Just two years later he ended up third in the Buckeye Division’s after posting his first win with FLW at the Ohio River event. Vatalaro fished his way up through the EverStart Series, eventually joining the Tour in 2007.
Vatalaro, a finesse fisherman, says that he loves lakes that hold large numbers of smallmouth and cites lakes like Erie and Champlain as his favorite bodies of water to fish. Vatalaro is known for owning his own Ranger boat dealership in his hometown of Kent, Ohio. When not fishing, he likes to hunt and his favorite music artist is Elvis Presley.
