Devere is a very dedicated fisherman and has fished with FLW every year since 1995. Throughout his years he has fished at least one event in the BFL Division every season and began fishing the Tour in 2007. In his first year of Tour level competition Devere posted two top-25 finishes and ended the season with his only top-10 Forrest Wood Cup finish.
